Obama often criticizes policies that place the interests of the powerful ahead of the powerless. But through his administration's support of abortion rights Obama shows his lack of empathy for society's most powerless.

However we might oppose it abortion is a sad feature of modern life.

I for one respect those who believe with all their hearts and conscience that there are no circumstances under which any abortion should ever be available.

It doesn't make any difference what religion you are or how young you are or how old you are-if they go to these abortion mills and stand there and pray-that would make a lot of difference.

I don't think the objective of an abortion clinic is to try to talk women out of having the procedure. That obviously would not be positive for their bottom line.

Abortion politics have distracted all sides from what is really essential: a major aid campaign to improve midwifery prenatal care and emergency obstetric services in poor countries.

The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if a mother can kill her own child what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between.

Even those who like me believe that Roe v. Wade and the decisions elaborating on reproductive rights were constitutionally correct must recognize that for many on the right the sudden and relatively sloppily reasoned character of the abortion rulings... did real damage to the Court's reputation as a relatively neutral arbiter of legal disputes.

Legal abortion will never rest easy on this nation's conscience.

I do not believe abortion should be legal.
