The openness of rural Nebraska certainly influenced me. That openness in a way fosters the imagination. But growing up Lincoln wasn't a small town. It was a college town. It had record stores and was a liberal place.

Imagination which comes into play in falling in love is different from any other. Certainly in my case and I've fallen in love all my life one imagines the person to be as you want them to be. They frequently turn out to be someone different for better or worse.

As an actor you have to have a strong vivid imagination as you're working and when the camera's rolling but there's certainly a part of you that is aware of real life that you're making a movie.
