The work of the individual still remains the spark that moves mankind ahead even more than teamwork.

It's human nature to gripe but I'm going ahead and doing the best I can.

The work ahead will be hard. These times demand the best of us - all of us but we can do this. Together we can do this. We can get this country working again. We can get this economy growing again. We can make the safety net safe again. We can do this.

As we look forward to freedom the shining city on the hill and the best days of America lying ahead it is the men and women in uniform who protect defend and make us proud to whom we should look and give thanks every night.

You always want to quit while you are ahead. You don't want to be like a fighter who stays too long in the ring until you're not performing at your best.

Artistic qualities that once seemed undeniable don't seem so now. Sometimes these fluctuations are only fickleness of taste momentary glitches in an artist's work or an artist getting ahead of his audience (it took me ten years to catch up to Albert Oehlen). Other times however these problems mean there's something wrong with the art.

An artist is never ahead of his time but most people are far behind theirs.

I like what I see now in China but I think the Japanese are a step ahead into craziness and weirdness. I go to galleries there that are the size of a New York elevator and every time I'm surprised by the amazing things I find. I really hope I'll be able to promote some of these artists to show their work in the West.

I love Benny Hill. He one of my favourites of aaall time. Like the way Benny did it he was just amazing. Just seeing how he put songs together and comedy and the timing and the sketches. He was way ahead of his time.

With love you should go ahead and take the risk of getting hurt because love is an amazing feeling.
