I'm not sure what the future holds but I do know that I'm going to be positive and not wake up feeling desperate. As my dad said 'Nic it is what it is it's not what it should have been not what it could have been it is what it is.'

Just two weeks ago millions of Iraqis defied the threats of terrorists and went to the polls to determine their own future. I congratulate the Iraqi people for the courage they've shown in making these elections so successful.

Such decisions will be far reaching and difficult. But you never lacked courage in the past. Your courage is now needed for the future.

The cool thing about working and meeting a lot of people through your acting is that you never know who you might work with in the future.

It's pretty cool that people will pay for something even though they don't have to. It's totally different now to back in the day. Now you're paying for a record because you believe in the band. When I was in Japan on tour in 2010 I felt like I was 30 years into the future. I love technology and they are so advanced with their phones computers everything. I think they had the iPhone way before we did in the U.S. I love gadgets games social media and I try to stay ahead on all that stuff but they get it all first.

Why does everyone think the future is space helmets silver foil and talking like computers like a bad episode of Star Trek?

The future lies in designing and selling computers that people don't realize are computers at all.

I follow my conscience - and this is upsetting to some people but I maintain the conscience is going to be the only thing between us and communication in the future.

One of the most important things that I did to turn my life around was to realize and to accept that from this minute that's all we have. Everything that happened behind us we cannot change so you might as well look to the future.

Man has a limited biological capacity for change. When this capacity is overwhelmed the capacity is in future shock.

All cities do face similar significant trends in the future... most importantly global warming and climate change.
