On behalf of NARAL Pro-Choice America - and our one million member activists - I am honored to be here to talk to you about what's at stake for women in 2012. I am proud to say that the Democratic Party believes that women have the right to choose a safe legal abortion with dignity and privacy.

I'm learning a lot about the culture of weight loss. I didn't know there were bloggers out there who were proud to be fat.

To be proud of learning is the greatest ignorance.

I am proud of the President's leadership. I am proud to support him in saying: Yes we are going to do what is necessary now when it is less painful and less expensive.

Democrats are going to proudly run on the fact that we turned the economy around. It was our policies under President Obama's leadership through the Recovery Act through investing in the automobile industry.

Knowledge is proud that it knows so much wisdom is humble that it knows no more.

So you know I think that Democrats are being more successful in Congress and I'm really going to be proud of the role I will play tomorrow as ranking Democrat on the Intelligence Committee when this bill passes.

In Europe they call geeks 'smart people ' and frankly I think we live in a culture that doesn't value intelligence enough so I am very proud in saying that I am a geek.

The intelligent man who is proud of his intelligence is like the condemned man who is proud of his large cell.

I suppose I'm proudest of my novels for what's imagined in them. I think the world of my imagination is a richer and more interesting place than my personal biography.

The one thing I would hope would go on my tombstone is 'I made my parents proud.'

I must say my three are most agreeable children who do nothing but delight me.

Do you force your kids to pay attention to what's going on or do you let them live their lives outside of it? My hope is that my child is a strong activist. That would make me most proud.

I love Madrid. I am happy to be here. I have been here three years and hope to be here longer. But I am proud of where I come from and never forget the people I grew up with.

You just have to keep trying to do good work and hope that it leads to more good work. I want to look back on my career and be proud of the work and be proud that I tried everything. Yes I want to look back and know that I was terrible at a variety of things.
