Everybody even me sometimes had to compromise on something doing things we know to be wrong and this happens doing whatever job in the world. But a singer must have the courage of saying no.

There are two types of courage involved with what I did. When it comes to picking up a rifle millions of people are capable of doing that as we see in Iraq or Vietnam. But when it comes to risking their careers or risking being invited to lunch by the establishment it turns out that's remarkably rare.

I went through a long period where I was afraid of doing things I wanted to do and you get your courage back which is what's important.

Courage is doing what you are afraid to do. There can be no courage unless you are scared.

Perfect courage is to do without witnesses what one would be capable of doing with the world looking on.

True courage is being afraid and going ahead and doing your job anyhow that's what courage is.

Film and television are just different. Film is cool because it's a complete package. You know the beginning middle and end. You can plan it out more which I like. But with television you get a new script every week so it's constantly a mystery as to what you're going to be doing.

When I was in school I read a lot of comic books and pretend I was in them and kids would tease me and call me names. But now I do the same things and people say that I'm artistic and cool and I'm doing the exact same thing I did in high school.

My sister and I said Dad are you doing to do anything about that? And he mentioned treatments other people sent him that he'd been working on. So we thought it would be kind of cool to give these guys a real script.

I'm getting a lot of stick because my character in 'Young Dracula' wanted to be vampire so now that I am a vampire everyone's like 'You finally did it!' But it's cool and I loved doing 'Young Dracula.' That show's finished and I don't know why it ended so it was brilliant to go into 'Being Human ' which is like the adult version of it.

I am a very open social friendly person and when it comes to people approaching me and asking for an autograph I am totally cool with doing any of that. It's a lot of fun.

I used to skip out of high school and go flying. It was just one of those things I thought it was kind of a cool thing to do. I never thought about doing that as a profession but I started checking things out and I found out there was a flight school down in Daytona Beach called Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

You always have in the back of your mind that would be cool if you get recognized. But you can't concentrate on any of those things. You've got to just keep playing and doing your music and the rest is just a bonus.

I know a lot of people dread going to work every morning but my work is playing pretend and doing stunts and screaming. It's a lot of fun and I get to play dress up. Every day is exciting and different and new and cool. I couldn't be more grateful.

Unless something real cool comes along I will probably be doing features so long as I can make a living doing that. Otherwise I will do another show.

The thing about stand-up was I was doing all this sketch and YouTube stuff where I was not being censored and I got to do my own thing and it was really cool.

You know what 'New Girl' is doing is they're bringing in really cool people. These are home-run people who aren't your typical guest-star-type people.
