My personal feeling if I can interject a political note is that I don't think it is right that basic health care is a privilege. It shouldn't be. It should be a right of all human beings. And certainly in the richest country in the world.

In today's world it is shortsighted to think that infectious diseases cannot cross borders. By allowing developing countries access to generic drugs we not only help improve health in those nations we also help ourselves control these debilitating and often deadly diseases.

Yes Democrats can prove that America pays more for health care than other countries yes they have won the dispute that private health insurance is needlessly expensive. But what they've lost is the argument that we are a society.

The filth and noise of the crowded streets soon destroy the elasticity of health which belongs to the country boy.

The only principles of public conduct that are worthy of a gentleman or a man are to sacrifice estate ease health and applause and even life to the sacred calls of his country.

Restoring responsibility and accountability is essential to the economic and fiscal health of our nation.

In order to lead a country or a company you've got to get everybody on the same page and you've got to be able to have a vision of where you're going. America can't have a vision of health care for everybody green economy regulations - can't have a bunch of piece-meal activities. It's got to have a vision.

Good health is not something we can buy. However it can be an extremely valuable savings account.

I've been to enough other countries in the world to know what happens when you have socialized single-payer health care. It works. People don't get sick as much. They don't lose their life savings with a catastrophic illness like cancer or AIDS.

I think all Americans believe in human rights. And health is an often overlooked aspect of basic human rights. And it's one that's easily corrected. The reason I say that is that many of the diseases that we treat around the world I knew when I was a child. My mother was a registered nurse. And they no longer exist in our country.

I support health care for people. I want people well taken care of. But I also want health care that we can afford as a country. I have people and friends closing down their businesses because of Obamacare.

Addiction should never be treated as a crime. It has to be treated as a health problem. We do not send alcoholics to jail in this country. Over 500 000 people are in our jails who are nonviolent drug users.

Obama's health care plan will be written by a committee whose head John Conyers says he doesn't understand it. It'll be passed by Congress that has not read it signed by a president who smokes funded by a Treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes overseen by a Surgeon General who is obese and financed by a country that's nearly broke. What could possibly go wrong?

Let us never know what old age is. Let us know the happiness time brings not count the years.

I ask the rights to pursue happiness by having a voice in that government to which I am accountable.

Well may the boldest fear and the wisest tremble when incurring responsibilities on which may depend our country's peace and prosperity and in some degree the hopes and happiness of the whole human family.

Happiness was not made to be boasted but enjoyed. Therefore tho others count me miserable I will not believe them if I know and feel myself to be happy nor fear them.
