Hopefully each film can be given a musical voice of its own which is not to say that the instrumentation is always unique but that the relationship between the sound and the image is unique.

You don't have to buy from anyone. You don't have to work at any particular job. You don't have to participate in any given relationship. You can choose.

The places I visit in any given week are my home so when I'm somewhere that feels good to me it's a real game changer. If a place causes me to have a strong reaction be it positive or negative it'll often find its way into my music.

My Botswana books are positive and I've never really sought to deny that. They are positive. They present a very positive picture of the country. And I think that that is perfectly defensible given that there is so much written about Africa which is entirely negative.

If you are given a chance to be a role model I think you should always take it because you can influence a person's life in a positive light and that's what I want to do. That's what it's all about.

It takes but one positive thought when given a chance to survive and thrive to overpower an entire army of negative thoughts.
