It's opportunity. It's opportunity not a check from government - it's opportunity that has always driven America and defined us as Americans.

Now let me be clear. The path I lay out is not one paved with ever increasing government checks and cradle to grave assurance that government will always be the solution. If this election is a bidding war for who can promise the most goodies and the most benefits I'm not your president. You have that president today.

As a child is indulged or checked in its early follies a ground is generally laid for the happiness or misery of the future man.

I remember that without a lot of food left some of the best meals happened right there.

If the first requisite for writing well about food is a good appetite the second is to put in your apprenticeship as a feeder when you have enough money to pay the check but not enough to produce indifference of the total.

President Obama is the most successful food stamp president in American history. I would like to be the most successful paycheck president in American history.

Well paycheck protection is an important ingredient for a successful campaign finance reform measure.

When you're a famous successful person at 16 years old the rules change for you. Everybody is doing things for you to make life easier so you can go out and play. And I think you miss out on lot of growing up and a lot of reality checks.

I just think Rosa Parks was overrated. Last time I checked she got famous for breaking the law.

One thing about being famous is the people around you you pay all their bills so they very rarely disagree with you because they want you to pick up the check.

I tend to show everything I do to my family to check they won't be offended.

When I do get free time I spend a lot of it at home with my family and my close friends and I think that's what keeps me happy healthy grounded and totally in check.

A good job is more than just a paycheck. A good job fosters independence and discipline and contributes to the health of the community. A good job is a means to provide for the health and welfare of your family to own a home and save for retirement.

Far better is it to dare mighty things to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

Experience taught me that working families are often just one pay check away from economic disaster. And it showed me first-hand the importance of every family having access to good health care.
