One of the sad commentaries on the way women are viewed in our society is that we have to fit one category. I have never felt that I had to be in one category.

It's astonishing what some women will put up with just to have a warm body. Some of the brightest women I know are just obsessed with that search. It's very sad.

I have nothing against younger women and older men on screen. What is sad is that so many women over 40 who have so much to give aren't being considered to play opposite men their own age or younger.

The delta blues is a low-down dirty shame blues. It's a sad big wide sound something to make you think about people who are dead or the women who left you.

I mean the unfair treatment of women and black people and Indians and other groups that's real. Mistreatment of other people because 'I'm better than you are' is such a sad part of the world.

Women often postpone their lives thinking that if they're not with a partner then it doesn't really count. They're still searching for their prince in a way. And as much as we don't discuss that because it's too embarrassing and too sad I think it really does exist.

Forget romantic fiction a survey has found that most women would rather read a good book than go shopping have sex or sleep.

I don't want to be pigeonholed into doing just romantic comedies. But they're fun and especially for women it's nice to go to see them and enjoy that breath of fresh air.

I tend to play strong characters and people just assume that I would want to play romantic comedies which I would love to do but there are other women that do it so great and they maybe couldn't do what I do play the kind of characters that I play.

So many women today have become so focused on their children they've developed these romantic entanglements with their children's lives and the husbands are secondary. They're left out. And the romantic focus is on the children.

Women today are dealing with both their independence and also the fact that their lives are built around finding and satisfying the romantic models we grew up with.

I fell in love with many women at school who had no idea I existed. I'm a bit of a romantic.

And I think maybe all women if they just had a chance would be romantic and believe in love and not sex. And men believe in sex and not love.
