I've just finished my 20th book this past year and I'm working on my 21st book about the Middle East right now that I'll finish this year. And I get up early in the morning and when I get tired of the computer and tired of doing research I walk 20 steps out to my woodshop and I either build furniture or paint paintings. I'm an artist too.

These flowers which were splendid and sprightly waking in the dawn of the morning in the evening will be a pitiful frivolity sleeping in the cold night's arms.

The first thing I think about when I wake up most mornings is the fact that I'm tired. I have been tired for decades. I am tired in the morning and I am tired while becalmed in the slough of the afternoon and I am tired in the evening except right when I try to go to sleep.

And my only rule being if when I wake in the morning I'm looking forward to the things that I have to do that day then I'm on the right track.

Like a morning dream life becomes more and more bright the longer we live and the reason of everything appears more clear. What has puzzled us before seems less mysterious and the crooked paths look straighter as we approach the end.

If the money's right I'll do a film.

I think that lawyers are terrible at admitting that they're wrong. And not just admitting it also realizing it. Most lawyers are very successful and they think that because they're making money and people think well of them they must be doing everything right.

I like my money right where I can see it... hanging in my closet.

You're right on the money with that. We're all like detectives in life. There's something at the end of the trail that we're all looking for.

It takes no compromising to give people their rights. It takes no money to respect the individual. It takes no survey to remove repressions.

Arab leaders worry more about making money from the profits they get from oil and gas that they turn the other way when Lebanon is being destroyed right next to them. Their neighbours are being murdered but they only make calculations for their own benefit.

Clearly this is a tough economic time and a lot of families are hurting. So when we talk to parents we talk about small changes for kids and things that don't cost extra money. Like adding water and eliminating sugary drinks and sodas. That's going to save money right there. Or adding a few more vegetables.

He who receives money in trust to administer for the benefit of its owner and uses it either for his own interest or against the wishes of its rightful owner is a thief.

Right now it's only a notion but I think I can get the money to make it into a concept and later turn it into an idea.

I'd asked around 10 or 15 people for suggestions. Finally one lady friend asked the right question 'Well what do you love most?' That's how I started painting money.

Now workers should have the right to join unions. But unions should not be forced upon workers. And unions should not have the power to take money our of their members' paychecks to buy the support of politicians that are favored by the union bosses.

We have the right as individuals to give away as much of our own money as we please in charity but as members of Congress we have no right to appropriate a dollar of the public money.
