Have we failed to slow global warming pollution in part because climate and environmental activists have been too polite and well behaved?

Nature is not simply a technical or economical resource and human beings are not mere numbers. To suggest that one can somehow align all the squabbling institutions of science environmental management government and diplomacy in an alliance of convenience to regulate the global climate seems to me optimistic.

We now see numerous examples of brands working together to address issues such as environmental degradations climate control pollution poverty and disease.

A knowledgeable and courageous U.S. president could help enormously in leading the world's nations toward saving the climate.

To be clear climate change is a true 800 pound gorilla in the room. The effects of global warming threaten global environmental upheaval over the coming century. But for South Florida and the Everglades it could be our death knell if urgent action is not taken.

Maybe more climate activists will think about the climate change not as an international problem to be resolved in an air-conditioned meeting hall but as a guerilla war to be fought in the streets.

Ever since the collapse of cap and trade legislation and the realization that President Obama is unlikely to ever utter the words 'climate change' in public again much less use the bully pulpit to prepare the nation for the catastrophic risks of inaction the movement has been in a funk.

Climate change is a global issue - from the point of view of the Earth's climate a molecule of CO2 emitted in Bejing is the same as a molecule emitted in Sydney.
