The war and terrorism in the Middle East the crisis of leadership in many of the oil-supply countries in the developing world the crisis of global warming - all these are very clearly tied to energy.

A paradigm shift where in addition to physical inputs for farming a focused emphasis placed on knowledge inputs can be a promising way forward. This knowledge-based approach will bring immense returns particularly in rain fed and dry land farming areas.

As this body of knowledge has evolved a much more critical job for researchers and scientists has evolved into explaining and educating policy makers and the public to the risks of global warming and the possible consequences of action or of no action.

Most North Americans know that human-caused global warming is real even if political leaders don't always reflect or act on that knowledge.

In my opinion I think sarcasm and humor in a song without turning it into a novelty song is really charming.

Mr. Speaker our Nation must no longer be complacent about underage drinking and its alarming consequences. We must bring this national public health crisis out of the shadow and into the bright light of a national priority.

There are a range of associated impacts related to increasing temperatures which affect both evaporation rates and river systems which are already over stressed and these will hit farming communities and the health of crop lands.

And so to those who suggest that we are somehow 'harming' young women by encouraging them to take charge of their health we say this: We are not harming young women by educating them. We are arming them with information that they will carry with them throughout their lives.

I always looked for a man to rescue me and bring me happiness. I bought into that myth of course and looked for my own Prince Charming.

The megalomaniac differs from the narcissist by the fact that he wishes to be powerful rather than charming and seeks to be feared rather than loved. To this type belong many lunatics and most of the great men of history.

If indeed a firearm were more dangerous to its possessors than to potential aggressors would it not make sense for the government to arm all criminals and let them accidentally shoot themselves? Is this absurd? Yes and yet the government of course is arming criminals.

It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious.

Many talk about a guest worker program. I think most reasonable people believe that a guest worker program in the farming industry perhaps in the gardening and landscape industries is reasonable.

The most important thing about global warming is this. Whether humans are responsible for the bulk of climate change is going to be left to the scientists but it's all of our responsibility to leave this planet in better shape for the future generations than we found it.

I would like to see a future where artists think that they have a right to contemplate things like global warming.

I would do it today because the thing that appealed to me was not necessarily the mechanics of the robot but it was his personality and how funny and charming he was.
