In a clean break from the Obama years and frankly from the years before this president we will keep federal spending at 20 percent of GDP or less. That is enough. The choice is whether to put hard limits on economic growth or hard limits on the size of government and we choose to limit government.

A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have.

The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.

I was in enough to get along with people. I was never socially inarticulate. Not a loner. And that saved my life saved my sanity. That and the writing. But to this day I distrust anybody who thought school was a good time. Anybody.

Sometimes I'm so tired I look down at what I'm wearing and if it's comfortable enough to sleep in I don't even make it into my pajamas. I'm looking down and I'm like 'T-shirt and stretchy pants? Yup that's fine. It's pajama-y good night.'

Certainly it seems true enough that there's a good deal of irony in the world... I mean if you live in a world full of politicians and advertising there's obviously a lot of deception.

It's not vanity to feel you have a right to be beautiful. Women are taught to feel we're not good enough that we must live up to someone else's standards. But my aim is to cherish myself as I am.

No good movie is too long and no bad movie is short enough.

And it is easy to believe you are not good enough if you listen to everybody else.

All I can tell you really is if you get to the point where someone is telling you that you are not great or not good enough just follow your heart and don't let anybody crush your dream.

The worst thing about that kind of prejudice... is that while you feel hurt and angry and all the rest of it it feeds you self-doubt. You start thinking perhaps I am not good enough.

I wasn't in school often enough to really belong to a 'clique ' but my friends all studied hard and got pretty good grades. They were good people with self-respect. I still like to be friends with people I admire something about I really believe that we become like the people we're surrounded by so I choose my friends carefully!

No man is good enough to govern any woman without her consent.

We don't have enough support for maternal leave and the kinds of things that some of the European countries do. So we still make it hard on women to go into the work force and feel that they can be good at work but then doing the most important job which is raising your children in a responsible and positive way.

Many of you are well enough off that the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.

And above all things never think that you're not good enough yourself. A man should never think that. My belief is that in life people will take you at your own reckoning.

Books are good enough in their own way but they are a poor substitute for life.
