But by taking the time away getting myself off the treadmill and just slowing down and learning I felt I had so much more to give back. And maybe that was something that needed to happen for all of us.

There is a lot of learning I have to do and a lot of growing up I have to do.

Again the American people expect us to do what they are doing. It's tightening the belt it's learning how to do more with less. That's a reality today and we've got to do that in order to get the private sector growing.

What keeps you confident in a healthy way is knowing that everyone else around you is going to support you and teach you and you're going to learn from them. I just feel open to learning from people.

Now for this book I had to learn the world of the Senate which is really for all that's written about the Senate an unknowing world and its mores and the way things work with subcommittees and all. I loved learning about that.

I'm constantly learning and that is the greatest gift of life in my opinion - to always be learning and growing.

What matters to me is learning and growing and getting to do what I love to do. As long as I can do that I'm happy.

It's mainly about working hard and proving to people you're serious about it and stretching yourself and learning. The mistake a lot of actors make particularly young ones is allowing themselves to feel that they're the finished articles the bee's knees and it's not true.

No I got a GED in my 30s. My kids know that I never stop learning and they know I love reading. I have books overflowing everywhere. I am current on today's events and I read the paper every day and we talk about it so they see that appetite.

Artists working for other artists is all about knowing learning unlearning initiating long-term artistic dialogues making connections creating covens and getting temporary shelter from the storm.

One of the greatest and simplest tools for learning more and growing is doing more.

You don't learn to walk by following rules. You learn by doing and by falling over.

That is what leadership is all about: staking your ground ahead of where opinion is and convincing people not simply following the popular opinion of the moment.
