When I grew up we had gym at school two or three dance classes after school ice skating lessons and all sorts of sports at our finger tips. We weren't glued to computers because they didn't exist so being active was all we knew.

With Stacy it was interesting because you know he was within all this chaos all these different lives that were so broken and so much anger and so much frustration and their skating came out of that their different styles came out of that.

Without strength and courage it's really hard to perform at the highest levels of international figure skating because you're alone on the ice and you only have seven minutes over two nights to prove yourself.

I was passionate. I found something that I loved. I could be all alone in a big old skating rink and nobody could get near me and I didn't have to talk to anybody because of my shyness. It was great. I was in my fantasy world.
