As a person I was born to give out my opinions. By giving out my opinions I realize who I am. As long as I can communicate I'm not so lonely. If I cannot travel or do art or have company if they take away all my belongings it doesn't matter at all.

People who don't know me have opinions about me. That's the part that's very hurtful. Because how do you form an opinion about somebody if you've never met them or spent any time with them? So it's all based upon hearsay or things that they've read.

I think I'm also more open to other writers being present and listening to other opinions whereas before I was going through my angsty teen years while making records.

Developments in information technology and globalised media mean that the most powerful military in the history of the world can lose a war not on the battlefield of dust and blood but on the battlefield of world opinion.

And to say that society ought to be governed by the opinion of the wisest and best though true is useless. Whose opinion is to decide who are the wisest and best?
