Not just Christians and Jews but also Muslims Buddhists Hindus and the followers of many other religions believe in values like peace respect tolerance and dignity. These are values that bring people together and enable us to build responsible and solid communities.

This morning in the Washington Post there was a statistic about how 85% of Americans are Christians.

Of all religions the Christian should of course inspire the most tolerance but until now Christians have been the most intolerant of all men.

Whatever makes men good Christians makes them good citizens.

I think a lot of people even Christians are willing to be satisfied with gaining lots and lots of biblical knowledge - and many people go to Bible studies and don't realize it isn't enough to know what's right it's applying the information and the knowledge that you have.

Now when I hear that Christians are getting together in order to defend the people of Israel of course it brings joy to my heart. And it simply says look people have learned from history.

If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this.

The great and important duty which is incumbent on Christians is to guard against all appearance of evil to watch against the first risings in the heart to evil and to have a guard upon our actions that they may not be sinful or so much as seem to be so.

We are persuaded that good Christians will always be good citizens and that where righteousness prevails among individuals the Nation will be great and happy. Thus while just government protects all in their religious rights true religion affords to government it's surest support.

I want to love all the children of God - Christian Jew Moslem Hindu Buddhist - everyone. I want to love gay Christians and straight Christians.

That the Jews assumed a right exclusively to the benefits of God will be a lasting witness against them and the same will it be against Christians.

You know it's ironic to me that Christians want to keep the Ten Commandments in our schools because Christianity has abrogated four of the Ten Commandments. For example the Sabbath day according to the Ten Commandments is Saturday not Sunday. And the reason is because God rested not because Jesus was resurrected.

I can look at the future with anticipation. And it's comforting to know that someday as Christians we'll be able to look back and have a little more clarity on why certain things in life happened.

I don't think that fundamentalism has anything to do with Jesus Christ. They call themselves Christians but if that's Christian count me out. Fundamentalism is built on fear and greed. They're telling you to give them your money otherwise you're going to hell.

I believe that today's players who are Christians feel that it's important and their responsibility to acknowledge their faith.

There is a split between Muslims who want to practice their faith in peace and tolerance with other religions and other people and these extreme radical fundamentalists who have shown a total lack of tolerance for people with different views starting with people who they don't think are good Muslims and going on to include Christians and Jews.

Christianity emerged from the religion of Israel. Or rather it has as its background a persistent strain in that religion. To that strain Christians have looked back and rightly as the preparation in history for their faith.
