When I was in fourth grade... this wonderful teacher said you didn't have to write a book report you could just talk about the book you could do a drawing of the book you could write a play inspired by the book and that's what I did. I got to be so famous. I had to go around to every school and perform it. It was just so natural and fun.

To put it simply - you know a lot of people believe that the benefit of this job is fame and fortune. I believe that you pay for the fortune through the fame. I don't buy into the notion that being famous is somehow a good thing or an exciting thing or a wonderful thing.

We had such a wonderful set of circumstances in Wilmington. Yes the four of us became famous literally overnight but we were in a small town and we always knew when people were coming down. We always knew when to behave.

I was lucky. My family is wonderful. And it's funny because most of my best friends come from very large families. So it always felt as if I had lots of siblings though in the end I had to leave them and go home. I kind of got the best of both worlds as a kid.

It's a little known fact that one in three family pets gets lost during its lifetime and approximately 9 million pets enter shelters each year. That's why it's a wonderful thing to get your pet microchipped and registered with your contact information because then they can be located and the owners can track where their pets are.

Of course I will continue to share my favorite Southern recipes just like my mama grandmother and family shared with me over the years. And now I'll be adding a little bit of a lighter touch to some of these wonderful dishes.

Family life was wonderful. The streets were bleak. The playgrounds were bleak. But home was always warm. My mother and father had a great relationship. I always felt 'safe' there.

I come from a great family. I've seen family life and I know how wonderful how nurturing and how wonderful it can be.

But back to your question it was a wonderful experience with the Art Ensemble and I keep in contact and sort of follow what's going on but it was also very important to make this step you may say this leap of faith.

Yes we were looking for a Faith spin-off but then Faith backed down. Eliza got a really wonderful offer over on Fox in a show and for reasons I didn't talk to her about she decided to go there and everyone respects that.

I'm a lapsed Quaker. I don't go to meetings any more. But I'm very drawn to Catholicism - all that glitter. I'd love to be a Catholic. I think it would be fantastic - faith forgiveness absolution extreme unction - all these wonderful words. I don't think anyone who was ever born a Catholic hasn't died a Catholic no matter how lapsed they are.

I love Canada. It's a wonderful political act of faith that exists atop a breathtakingly beautiful land.

The children have been a wonderful gift to me and I'm thankful to have once again seen our world through their eyes. They restore my faith in the family's future.

Technology is nothing. What's important is that you have a faith in people that they're basically good and smart and if you give them tools they'll do wonderful things with them.

I was taught that to create anything you had to believe in failure simply because you had to be prepared to go through an idea without any fear. Failure you learned as I did in art school to be a wonderful thing. It allowed you to get up in the morning and take the pillow off your head.
