I don't imagine Heads of Government would ever be able to say I'm not an economist therefore I can't take decisions on matters of the economy I'm not a soldier I can't take decisions on matters of defence I'm not an educationist so I can't take decisions about education.

One of the critical issues that we have to confront is illegal immigration because this is a multi-headed Hydra that affects our economy our health care our health care our education systems our national security and also our local criminality.

Doing all we can to combat climate change comes with numerous benefits from reducing pollution and associated health care costs to strengthening and diversifying the economy by shifting to renewable energy among other measures.

Barack Obama's life was so much simpler in 2009. Back then he had refined the cold act of blaming others for the bad economy into an art form. Deficits? Blame Bush's tax cuts. Spending? Blame the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. No business investment? Blame Wall Street.

The 9-9-9 plan would resuscitate this economy because it replaces the outdated tax code that allows politicians to pick winners and losers and to provide favors in the form of tax breaks special exemptions and loopholes. A successful economic development strategy must focus on improving the skills of the area's workforce reducing the cost of doing business and making available the resources business needs to compete and thrive in today's global economy.

You know out-of-touch liberals like Barack Obama say they want a strong economy but in everything they do they show they don't like business very much. But the economy of course is simply the product of all the businesses of the nation added together. So it's a bit like saying you like an omelet but you don't like eggs.

To think that the new economy is over is like somebody in London in 1830 saying the entire industrial revolution is over because some textile manufacturers in Manchester went broke.
