As a kid I was short and only weighed 95 pounds. And though I was active in a lot of Sports and got along with most of the guys I think I used comedy as a defense mechanism. You know making someone laugh is a much better way to solve a problem than by using your fists.

If we all say the same thing then I think the government has to listen. But because no one is saying it I become singled out even though what I'm saying is common sense. It's very essential values that we all have to protect. But in Chinese society people are giving up on protecting these values.

The conception that instead of this contemporary society is at or near a turning point is very prominent in the views of a school of social scientists who though they are still comparatively few are getting more and more of a hearing.

Because society places a value on masculinity gay men aspire to it. If you go to a gay club and the doorman says 'You do realise this is a gay club don't you lads?' you get all excited because you think 'Wow he thought I was straight!'

And to say that society ought to be governed by the opinion of the wisest and best though true is useless. Whose opinion is to decide who are the wisest and best?

I'm very old-fashioned in some ways because of my father who thought that being a public servant was an honor. Everyone must find a capacity in which they can serve because we all benefit from society.

But the development of human society does not go straight forward and the epic process will therefore be a recurring process the series a recurring series - though not in exact repetition.

Society has to change but the political powers we have at the moment are not enough to effect this change. The whole democratic system would have to be rethought.

The response of anybody interested in liberty is that we all have a say and the ability to have an argument is exactly what liberty is even though it may never be resolved. In any authoritarian society the possessor of power dictates and if you try and step outside he will come after you.

The question I asked Georges has now become a general one - You who thought you were superfluous who thought there was no place for you in society not only are you not superfluous you are needed and so those who were beggars become givers.
