I wanted to be an actress. I think it had a lot to do with being a kid and watching how every time my dad would stand up to talk people would applaud... that was pretty cool.

Actually just recently I came up with that idea watching the movie 'Legally Blonde' and I was like 'Cool that's something I want to do.'

In New York City you can walk down the street and see a girl in a trench who looks equally as cool as a girl wearing Lululemon. It's like you're watching models. You see a little of everything right by you.

The truth is we have this idea that late night is about creativity and being cool but that's not our job. Our job is to get as many people watching the commercials in between our show. That's the reality of it.

I wanted to escape Small Town U.S.A. To dismiss the boundaries to explore. My life experience came from watching movies TV and reading books and magazines. When your culture comes from watching TV everyday you're bombarded with images of things that seem cool places that seem interesting people who have jobs and careers and opportunities.

People are on their computers more than watching TV because you can only watch voyeur TV which is basically what reality shows are for so long.

Fall is my favorite season in Los Angeles watching the birds change color and fall from the trees.

The first trip I remember taking was on the train from Virginia up to New York City watching the summertime countryside rolling past the window. They used white linen tablecloths in the dining car in those days and real silver. I love trains to this day. Maybe that was the beginning of my fixation with leisurely modes of travel.

I'm just attracted to playing people who are ostensible unlikable. That's not to say that there's something in there that makes you care. It might be that you just find them so awful that you just can't stop watching like a car crash.

The rest of the world cares about how we conduct our affairs because they then take that lead. We're the only leader in the world today. Some are wishing us well others think that we're down and are not going to get back up again but they are all watching with great interest to see how we conduct our business over the next couple of years.

My mom was an aesthetician and she went to beauty school back in the '60s. I just remember watching her do her makeup all the time. She always had her nails done makeup on - her face was ready to go when she went out. I loved it.

This generation... they have a different attitude. Instead of sitting and watching something they want to be a part of it - they're very hedonistic and sensual.

Football is my profession now. I'm getting married in August... It's a new experience for me as someone just getting out of college. I still have the same attitude about football I always had. I play hard. I enjoy practice. I'd rather be throwing in passing drills than sitting around and watching TV.

I did that Dior Couture 60th anniversary show in July. It took so long to get ready I think I would have rather been watching.

I grew up looking at my father as to how to behave. In watching him I grasped so many things. His own temperament was of a calm person. He was very composed and I never saw anger in him. To me that was fascinating.

Every time I sit in the audience and watch a show that I have been involved with it is such an amazing feeling to see all those people around me knowing they are actually watching and enjoying something I have written.
