Of course the Republicans have long wanted to privatize Social Security and destroy it. But Social Security has been the most important and valuable social program in the history of the United States.

Cause and effect the riddle of all history is a particular devil in financial history and never more so than today where entire classes of security are collapsing not on public exchanges and stock-tickers but because there are no markets to establish prices this side of nothing.

Now our job our duty our responsibility to ensure the safety and security of our citizens cannot be complete unless we guarantee health care security for our citizens.

Security is still the most important issue facing Washington state residents and millions of Americans - the security of having a job of access to affordable health care of a quality education and of protecting our homeland and defending our nation.

The old problems - love money security status health etc. - are still here to plague us or please us.

People were concerned about national security and that precluded us from having the opportunity to break through on the issues that we cared most about - the economy education and health care.

As we get closer to the end of this Congress we should be addressing the urgent needs of the American people - the war in Iraq affordable health care a sensible energy policy quality education for our children retirement security and a sound and fair fiscal policy.

The war on terrorism has made national security a legitimate concern and a rising deficit changes brought on by globalization and even the price of oil have thrown the nation's economic health into question.

And whether it is equal pay health care Social Security or family leave this Congress has refused to address issues critical to hard-working American women.

Order is the sanity of the mind the health of the body the peace of the city the security of the state. Like beams in a house or bones to a body so is order to all things.

If you look at things that really affect people's lives - sport the arts charities - they were always at the back of the queue for government money - health social security defence pensions were all way ahead. And each of those areas - sports the arts the lottery - got relatively petty cash from the government.

Since 1994 lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have considered it politically risky to offer a plan to fix America's broken health care system. The United States are a political state or organized society whose end is government for the security welfare and happiness of all who live under its protection.

For happiness one needs security but joy can spring like a flower even from the cliffs of despair.

She's probably in denial that she's a great big ball of insecurity and I'm quite well aware that I am one.

We continue to recognize the greater ability of some to earn more than others. But we do assert that the ambition of the individual to obtain for him a proper security is an ambition to be preferred to the appetite for great wealth and great power.

I am concerned for the security of our great Nation not so much because of any threat from without but because of the insidious forces working from within.
